On Saturday June 26th, the ultrarunning world will make a pilgrimage to Squaw Valley, California for the start of the 37th annual Western States Endurance Run, a 100 mile trail running race from Squaw Valley to Auburn. This is the oldest and most presitigious 100-mile race in the country, and this year the competition is stronger than ever in the both the men’s and women’s field. Run begins at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday at the west end of Squaw Valley. Runners must reach the finish line no later than 11:00 a.m. the following day in order to be eligible for an award. Top racer will cross the finish line around 9 or 10 p.m – INSANE!! Team Montrail has a very solid and experienced group of athletes racing Western States 100.
