About JIll Perry

Date of Birth:
October 6, 1971

Place of Birth:
Chicago, Illinois

Current Home town:
Manlius, NY

Real (Primary) Job:
Well, most consuming job (and it is real!) is raising 5 kids. I am also a coach and have worked with 100′s of men and women from teenagers and on to achieve their running goals. I have recently become a health coach and am now working with men and women to achieve their nutrition goals. I love watching people WOW themselves and go beyond their goals

Other Sports or Activities:
Cross country skiing, mt. biking, canoeing, open water swimming, hiking and reading/writing. I love the outdoors!

Favorite Sports Team:
Cubs from Chicago – many memories of Wrigley Field Stadium.

Favorite Trail Race:
All trails are my favorite. A new trail is a new experience, and that always is the favorite at the time!

Beer or wine:
Margarita! And to be specific, on the rocks with a little bit of salt!

Trail Shoe of choice and why:
Rogue Racer – light but with alot of power behind it.

Objective #1 for 2012:
Choose races wisely and balance the kids and racing out (and now, some of my kids are racing, so we take turns!).

Best race in 2011:
Loved Pinhoti – a point to point race in the peak of fall!

Person Who has Influenced You the Most:
My Dad, he loved the woods and I believe my passion for the trails has come from him. Something magical about the woods.

When I’m Not Running I Prefer to…
be with my 5 little munchkins, of course I would consider that part of the “running” category, or is there a “chasing” category?

When in Need of Rest and Relaxation I…
escape to the woods of solitude. Whether its a run or hike with a book – being alone brings out much peace.

If A Genie Would Grant Me One Wish:
Have more time in the day to get everything I want accomplished…or accomplish everything I want in the time given in a day! There is never enough time, and can’t buy it back.

Anything else you’d like the world to know:
Well, I remember my parents telling me I had ants in my pants as a kid…I believe they are still there! Also, I am fortunate to live on little sleep. Unfortunately, my children possess those qualities too…yikes! I’ve also been told I am a friend collector – have many friends and feel very fortunate about it!
